HEAD SWIM COACH

Dave

Leshnower

Coach Lesh’s philosophy focuses upon the individual swimmer’s journey toward attaining their goals.  Team members will develop self-worth and confidence in their abilities with proper guidance through education and development of technical skills.  The team experience on the Mountain Lakes Summer Swim Team includes a focus on: work ethic, personal motivation, individual and team responsibility, honesty, and self-discipline; while conducting themselves with exceptional character, integrity, and team unity.  Coach Lesh’s intense love for the sport of swimming can be seen through his enthusiasm and educational approach toward the development of young swimmers.  Our community approach to swimming at MLSA is the cornerstone to a successful Laker Swimming program!

Jordan

Leshnower

Assistant Coach for the 9&10's

I graduated Mountain Lakes High School last June and went on to attend Salve Regina University and major in Early Childhood Education! I was sad to leave my Summer Swim family but I loved every second of college! I am so happy to be back for my 4th season with this amazing team! I love spending my summers with the kids on this team as I have been around the Mountain Lakes swim team for my entire life both at Birchwood in the summertime and at the High School during the winter season. I have experienced some of the best days in my life with the swim team in this town including winning state championships 2 years in a row, my junior and senior year of high school. After such an inspiring career as a swimmer in Mountain Lakes, I hope I can provide half as much joy to the young swimmers to come!

Alli Kane

Assistant Coach for the 8 & unders

My name is Alli Kane. I am a Junior at Mountain Lakes High School and I swim for both the Mountain Lakes High School Girls Swim Team and for the Greater Morristown YMCA swim team. My favorite stroke is freestyle and my best events are the 1000 yard freestyle, the 500 yard freestyle and the 200 yard freestyle. I have been swimming since a young age, though year round for the past six years. My swimming has improved substantially from the time I joined the Mountain Lakes Summer Swim Team five summers ago. I love swimming and this team so much and hope to encourage every Laker swimmer to improve and work hard.

Julia Corbo

Assistant Coach for the 8 & unders

I’m Julia Corbo, and I’ve been swimming on the Mountain Lakes summer team for 9 years. I started my swim journey by joining the pre-team when I was 7 and have loved the team and the sport ever since. I’m so excited to coach the 8/unders and to inspire, encourage, and develop their own love of swimming. I currently swim for the Mountain Lakes High School swim team as well as the Lakeland Hills swim team. My favorite strokes are breaststroke and freestyle. My favorite color is baby blue and my favorite food is sushi and milkshakes. In my free time, I like to hang out with my 3 brothers or play with my two black labradors. I’m looking forward to a fun-fulfilled season this year! Go Lakers!
